The ideology of the song diminished with artists' age, unfortunately. I remember Arthel Neville on CNN's Talk Back, who had mentioned her father, Art Neville, and the song ( sung by him ). There is no Arthel Neville on the CNN, nor the long forgotten show

I was born there. But there were good hospitals there then. When we were about to start school, my mother took us back to New England. Thanks God !

I was born there when they still had good hospitals. I was in much worse shape than Clancy they killed.. Before we were about to start school, my mother took us back to New England. Thanks God ! Schools in nola are the crime scenes !
